This week, Queen Morta School (QMS) hosted a team of middle school teachers from Stapaskóli School, Iceland, in Vilnius and Kaunas. The team from QMS shared their experience on how and which digital tools help to develop ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills in the educational process.
Stapaskóli School is a leader in its country and faces professional development challenges, so it only seeks experience from schools where it can learn. We are proud and honored to be the school where the teachers from Iceland found inspiration, new knowledge, and practices that they can take back to their school.
Our guests were deeply impressed by our students’ excellent public speaking skills, presenting their Year projects, their outstanding English language abilities, and their ability to explain what and why they do things at school.
We are very proud of the QMS educators who showcased their methods to the guests – French pronunciation and vocabulary learning techniques, the Spanish teacher’s Instagram account and vlog dedicated only to our students, the use of AI in science lessons, and more. The guests took notes, photographed slides, and asked many questions.
The QMS teachers have already visited Iceland twice this year. Similarly, we have welcomed the Stapaskóli School team to Lithuania as well. We were able to host these guests and travel to Iceland this year thanks to the Nordplus project.
