Our goal – to raise a generation that will strive for lifelong learning!

Austėja Landsbergienė, PhD

Founder

All schools around the world aim for the same goals, but the ways in which they are implemented vary greatly.

Knowledge is very important. Knowledge is a tool that helps us realize our abilities. However, if we lack skills, no amount of knowledge will help. Skills and inner motivation are what children need most in the 21st century.

Children who are just starting school today will choose professions after graduation that we can’t even imagine yet. How can we prepare them for a future we know nothing about?

I believe that the only way to prepare for the future is to nurture their freedom, courage, encourage creativity, critical thinking, and the belief that the whole world is in their hands. Such children, I believe, will be able to use the knowledge they acquire, will not fear change, and will boldly seek solutions to the problems they face.

This is the goal of the Karalienės Mortos School – to educate creative, strong, courageous, sensitive, and respectful individuals.

The school, founded by Dr. Austėja Landsbergienė, educates future creators based on an advanced, proprietary contextual education system that encourages students to think globally, fosters their curiosity and daily improvement through engaging activities, academic education, and the cultivation of values and emotional intelligence.

Origin of the School’s Name
Morta was the only queen of Lithuania, the wife of King Mindaugas. We chose her for the values that remain relevant today: Morta’s promotion of modern ideas, strong character, and ability to balance family and work even in the 13th century. We also chose the name Karalienės Mortos because there are almost no schools in Lithuania named after intellectual, authoritative, and nationally significant women.

10th Anniversary

In 2023, Queen Morta School celebrated its 10th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we presented a gift to all Lithuanian parents – a 10-episode series titled “13 Klasė” (“13th Grade”) with Austėja Landsbergienė, PhD.

This class is intended not for students, but for parents raising school-aged children. On the 10th day of each month, we presented a new episode with three specialists from different fields who shared their insights.

Code of Ethics

School’s Code of Ethics

Vaikystės Sodas and Queen Morta School (hereinafter – the Organization) is an innovative, creative, socially responsible, transparent, and ethical organization. Committed to upholding high standards, we strive to provide high-quality educational services, create opportunities for as many children as possible to receive a global education, nurture individual personalities and global citizens, and employ professionals in their respective fields.

The Organization is guided by the core values listed below, ensuring professional and high-quality operations. These fundamental values and principles form the foundation of all our actions, decisions, and relationships, as we work toward our goals and support the development of the children we educate in partnership with their parents.

This Code of Ethics applies to everyone who is employed by, has contracts with, or is otherwise formally associated with the Organization. It is prepared in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, the Labour Code of the Republic of Lithuania, other legal acts, and the Organization’s internal policies and regulations.

Integrity

The Organization adheres to principles of fair business: we act transparently and reliably, clearly distinguishing between public and private interests. We pay taxes on time and honestly, and we do not tolerate dishonest behavior, legal violations, corruption, bribery, or the pursuit of financial gain while carrying out professional duties. We expect integrity—as one of our core values—from those around us as well.

Transparency

The Organization’s relationships with employees, clients, partners, and the wider environment are based on mutual openness, tolerance, and commitment to responsibilities. We comply with anti-corruption laws and regulations.

We strictly do not offer or accept cash, expensive gifts, or hospitality intended to influence or reward a decision. Attention, collaboration, openness, and solidarity are the best forms of gratitude—both for us and those around us.

Reputation

Operating in a competitive environment, we do not seek competitive advantage through illegal or unethical means. Our relationships with competitors are grounded in fairness and mutual respect. We highly value such behavior and expect the same from others.

Ethical Conduct

Within the Organization and our surrounding environment, we behave professionally: we are courteous, polite, follow communication etiquette, and act in a way that does not harm the Organization’s professional reputation.

We encourage initiatives, open discussions, collaboration with the surrounding environment, the community, state institutions, and partners.

We believe that by adhering to ethical behavior not only on school and preschool grounds but also while walking the streets, using public transport, driving a car, scooter, bicycle, or any other vehicle, we set a positive and inspiring example for the broader community.

Environment

In our daily activities, we responsibly conserve natural resources, raw materials, and energy. We carefully select, purchase, and use products. We ensure proper waste management and encourage the entire Organization to use energy resources efficiently and respect the environment. We do not tolerate littering—whether on our premises or elsewhere. We repurpose and reuse items in daily activities whenever possible.

We operate according to the principles of sustainable business, nurture a safe and positive neighborhood, remain reliable partners, and actively participate in public life. We support and contribute to local, national, and environmental initiatives, organize clean-up events, and encourage others to join in.

Safety and Health

We take preventive measures to ensure the safety and health of our community by regularly updating safety procedures according to the latest recommendations, organizing training sessions, and making every effort within our capabilities to reduce stress and promote both psychological and physical safety.

We promote and educate about healthy, balanced nutrition, and we avoid sugar. On our premises, we maintain an urban garden where community members grow vegetables, herbs, and fruits. We invite and support active lifestyles—from the youngest members of our community to leadership.

Culture of Growth

Members of the community actively follow the latest research, share knowledge, experiences, and expertise with each other, and organize or participate in training, conferences, and academic activities.

We encourage and support young members of our community to participate in competitions, Olympiads, tournaments, and conferences—and we celebrate their achievements.

Each of us responsibly performs our duties and is ready to collaborate and assist others.

Personal Privacy and Data Security

We process personal data while ensuring privacy, security, and confidentiality, implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, accidental loss, alteration, destruction, or any other unlawful processing.

Queen Morta School Scholarship

We are delighted that each year our school community grows, giving more and more children the opportunity to thrive. Observing their achievements, we are confident that by nurturing creative, resilient, courageous, compassionate, and respectful individuals, we are gradually changing Lithuania—day by day.

Each new school year brings more students to our community – along with more smiles, laughter, and positive energy. Wanting to ensure that as many children as possible have the opportunity to study at one of the most progressive and modern schools in Lithuania, since the 2017/2018 academic year we have been awarding scholarships (tuition fee discounts) to families who are motivated to pursue a well-rounded education but lack the financial means to pay for private schooling.

The scholarship conditions for the 2025/2026 academic year will be announced in April.
